Some mothers have marks all over their bodies, acting as a roadmap of the journey they have been through.
Other mothers don’t have those marks or have been through very different journeys, but there are marks that all mothers bare that are not so easy to see.
Her eyes are marked by the many tears shed, both happy and sad. And the many sleepless nights, both with her children and alone with her thoughts.
Her shoulders are marked from carrying the weight of their entire world on their shoulders. No one sees everything that she carries with her every single day.
Her mind is marked by the plans and worries of the day, and the future, and even the past. Her mind is a river of thoughts for the betterment of her family.
Her heart is marked by the many scars where her heart has been broken over and over again but grew back stronger and stronger every time.
Her very soul is marked, because from the very first time she is called mother, mommy, mama, mom, she is changed forever, and she will never be the same again.
