Simple Fun Activity: Dragon Taco Party

Story time is a very important time in our home. I love getting my kids books and getting them excited about story time. My son recently got a new favorite book for Christmas from his uncle, Dragons Love Tacos; written by Adam Rubin and illustrated by Salmieri. We have been reading this book every night for about two weeks. This is a cute story that let’s children in on a fact about dragons and how to make dragon friends. After reading this book several times over, we decided to have our own dragon taco party for dinner.

Items You Will Need For This Simple Fun Activity:

  • Dragon friends to invite to your dragon taco party
  • Taco meat, seasoned mildly as the book advises
  • Mild taco toppings such as tomato, lettuce, cheese, and we added avocado
  • Crunchy taco shells, because dragons like the crunch

This Is What Happened At Our Dragon Taco Party:

As you can see, we all had a great time at our dragon taco party, and our dragon friends had no complaints. We decided to do chicken tacos, but dragons would eat beef too. My husband decided to go for the spicier stuff, but we kept that clear of the dragons.

So if your child loves dragons and/or tacos, or even if they don’t, I highly recommend this book.
