This is a super simple activity that can give you a good amount of quiet time. I used this activity several times with my toddler class whenever we had free time to fill. I have also used this activity to occupy my son in the kitchen while I’ve been cooking or doing dishes, it’s just a great indoor activity. Most kids love a good race car activity.
Things You Will Need For This Simple Fun Activity:
- A hard, durable floor surface
- Masking tape or painter’s tape (Something that will peel up without damaging the floor)
- A race car or two, or a something that could be used as a car, such as a block

Steps For This Simple Fun Activity:
- Map out a track on the floor with your tape. You can be creative and make it look like a street or it could be a simple line. You can even pull out the markers and get really artistic. Make it interesting with some twists and turns.
- Then give your child the “race car”, and let their imagination run wild.

This can also be used to help teach letters, numbers, and shapes. It’s a great indoor activity for bad weather days. You can even set up the track for races you and your children could do together. You’re only limited by your imagination. If you like this simple fun activity, please leave a comment and a picture of your tape race car track, and don’t forget to share.
