his is a delicious and easy recipe that both my baby girl and my young son enjoy. I call this happy harvest, because the flavors just scream Fall! I really like this simple recipe, because the ingredients are great sources of fiber and vitamins.
Ingredients For This Delicious Easy Recipe:
- One can of 100% pumpkin puree (Be sure to get one that no salt or sugar added)
- One medium sweet potato
- One gala apple
- Cinnamon for taste

Steps For This Delicious Easy Recipe:
- Put a pot of water on to boil, while you peel and cut up the sweet potato. The water should be near boiling once you’re done with the sweet potato. Let the sweet potato boil for twenty minutes.
- Peel, core, and slice the gala apple, and add it to the boiling water with the sweet potato. Let it boil for about twenty more minutes.
- While these are boiling, in a small sauce pan, warm up half of the can of pumpkin puree.
- Once the sweet potato and apple are tender and easy to cut with a fork, strain them, but don’t dump the water.
- Add all ingredients in a blender/processor. Slowly add the boiled water until you get the consistency and thickness you desire.
- Add a little cinnamon for flavor.

This makes a great baby food, but there are other ways to use this. This can be put into re-usable pouches, or many times I’ve mixed the puree with whole milk yogurt. I use it sometimes to put a little boost in my oatmeal. You can also use it for baking. It’s very versatile. If you like what you’ve read, please leave a comment and share.
